Cool. Did you remove the hood to paint it? And what color is your rig now?

No I left the hood I and did not tape anything off, I forgot the tape and it's a long drive to the store from where I was at so I was just gonna peel away the excess spray, not as easy as I thought lol but my jeep is rescue green now

I know from experience that you should paint way past the visible and try not to leave any edges that can get started peeling. But it's pretty durable other than that.

Also make sure you do lots of even coats. If you ever want to remove it. It's a bitch to get off if it's thin!!

I never had the guts to do that much. I just did my grill. Are you using a rattle can? Or did you get the gun?

I probably put about 7 good coats on there so maybe it will be ok. My jeeps paint is in bad shape due to a tree getting pulled down on it and the plasti dip should make it look alot better until I have the money to repaint it

Yah. I like plasti dip as a temporary fix but I'm with boggsman69 on long term solutions. I'm still deciding if I want to keep my stock sahara 18" wheels or go another route. If I keep them in will powder coat. But they may get plasti dipped in the mean time.

the texture of my rims is like that but i did the hinges in the garage and out of the sun and they were nice and smooth.. i think spraying in the sun it drys to fast and doesnt have a chance to settle and smooth out before it drys completly... i have had my hinges and rims done for about 5 months and have had no problems with it peeling or looking bad i just wish i would have done my rims in the shade so they weren't so ruff makes them had to clean...
