Ronson, awesome looking paint work

How is the adhesive holding out on your insulated panels? With the higher temps now are they still stayin put?

Took the Skis to the river today 110 degrees left the jeep locked up in the sun so far so good.

Excellent, I think I will try to attempt this. You did an incredible job. What kind of spray applicator did you you for the adhesive? Was it easy to clean the gun up afterwards? Also, what kind of gun? I have a good air compressor with regulator ready to go, just never used any air tools with it.....

Nice work. Not nearly as hot as Yuma up here, but when I drive south to the PHX area, it seems like my AC barely keeps up. This is something I've got to try.

This is an awesome mod. I only have a soft top. I am now looking for a hard top on the cheap here in the south east. It's not as hot as out west here in Ga but it's hot enough!!!!

I used a spray contact glue that we use to make laminate counter tops it comes in a pressurized tank like a propane tank. But you could use 3M spray 90 should work fine.

Thanks for the information, and excellent writeup! I am going to do this as soon as I can. Temps this week are up to 102 with heat indexes in 110s. Jeeps OA sensor read 103 all the way home from work yesterday

I don't think foam will do much because you really need an radiant barrier type solution like foil or ceramic loaded paint to reflect and block the infrared radiation. There really is not enough space to get much of a foam layer. The quick and dirty solution would be to get some spray adhesive and roll out aluminum foil on the roof. Would not last long though.

I did the foam thing drilled small holes and used non expanding foam then covered the hole with white screw caps. I didn't say anything about in the post because I cant tell if it made any difference. If i had to guess I would say that painting the top silver made the biggest difference.
