The freedom tops are hollow, but the rest of the hardtop is solid, with no air space to utilize expanding foam

The back of top the around the glass has a large space for foam i think this reduced some of the road noise also .

Default tops off?

I really like the insulation- but can you drive with the front panels off without the wind jacking-up (messing-up) the insulation/headliner?

i have been thinking about this and rhino liner. why not just spray an actual foam insulator into the top, then sand it to shape/smooth, then apply a finish (carpet or something).

or in the case of rhino liner just put a foam spray then sand then liner.

Make sure you us a reflective layer for the radiant heat as well.
where would the radiant heat foil need to go? i don't think it would work to have that then spray on foam.

i think the insulation would be enough if i used polyurethane. and I'm not gonna foil the tub if i sprayed it.

FWIW, Personally, Ill try painting the roof first and see how it does then if I want, I can always add the interior.
But then thats just my line of thinking.
I would like to thank the OP for the info.
He's stating what he did and worked for him.
