Default Seats down

I'm still waiting to see a pic of the seat folded down, to see if I can deal with this mod in the long run

Did this the other day... seats fold flat... used flat iron instead of washers....

My kid is 14 .. likes the new angle of the seat...

i've attempted this mod 3 times now but still fighting with a single bolt. I undid the floor mounted bolt without a problem... but the one angled off is just about IMPOSSIBLE... what am i doing wrong... I didn't remove all 4 bolts so couldn't lift the cushions away for easier access... but does that help at all? I just came back from wrestling with it for 30 min and i think i might not have the right tools for the job.

Anyone in Socal area that did this willing to help a fellow jeeper out? Or perhaps lend me the tools real quick? Its not about the stupid recline now, i want to get that freaking bolt OUT OF THERE! (then stuff 3 washers on him and torque him back in there)

Try using your tire iron to loosen that nasty bolt. I had the same problem, then I discovered the bolt was the same size as the lug nuts! The tire iron might give you better leverage...

Finished this mod finally!!!! used a crowbar, but ended up having to remove the front 4 bolts first to have space for the 3 in the back, The angle of the bolts are really tricky to handle. But thanks for the write up and help!

The only sad part is all that work and i'll probably never enjoy it

I plan to make my "flat stock" out of hockey pucks cut to the proper washer height.

I wondered when someone would suggest a hockey puck... I was thinking the same thing!
