Just completed this mod and it looks amazing. Took me right at 12 hrs to complete and still have some stuff to do. I took pics throughout the entire process and added some twists to my mod. If anyone has any questions let me know.

So will this mod work with a Rubicon or not. I have heard yes and no. really like the hidden look of the winch but if I cant mount it upside down I will do it rightside up. I will be keeping the stock bumper and just want to make this look and work good.

I don't think you can mount it inside the bumper due to the edisco being in the way. I mounted mine up, I wanted to make sure I could see the cable spooling correctly. I used mine for several months with no issues. If you are interested I have my set up for sale, stubbied factory bumper w/ hooks and fogs with the winch plate.

This is a Rubicon. You can see on the passenger side of the plate where I had to allow room for the disco motor. It works fine no clearance issues and I've pulled on it hard on several occasions.

So I realize this thread is real old, but why start a new one?

Anyone tried this install with an intergated winch? I have a Warn 9000i, its not here with me (just moved to norcal from mass) so I can't measure the height of it to determine if it would hit that lower crossmember.

Thanks for the help, mostly just wondering if its worth it to ship it out here or just pick up something else with an external solinoid.
