Can I get by with an even lower pressure while still operating at highway speeds?
I didn't air down at all. I had no issues what so ever pulling people out or busting snow drifts

I'm running around 35psi right now but you could go down to around 25-20psi. Just keep in mind that your gas mileage will drop quite a bit but the ride would get better .

IMO as soon as you can get it in the garage. pull the diff cover and check for damage ( as interceptor mentioned) and go from there. stock u-joints suck but that yoke should have never shattered like that IMHO

Oh BTW I have a video on my phone of your jeep doing the webble wobble dance but I will give your wounds time to heal before I let you see it , and yeah what are friends for

Sometimes, you just gotta make light of things. Doesn't make it any easier, but there's always a silver lining in anything that happens - we just gotta find it

Exactly.

Other than a creeping fear of my diff, everything is much better now.

I am a rather sarcastic person... people tell me I need to raise my hand or something when I am being sarcastic.. lol. So, seriously, everything posted since about 5:30 or 6 has been post-stress mode.
