If you cut out the pinch seam and weld in a flat piece of steel there wouldnt be anything to rub on.

I also forgot I posted the pics before... and didnt see that it had been 4 months to reply to someone... Im a slacker

I'm planning on 3" Terra lift and some flat fenders. Not sure which ones yet. I want to run 35's.

If I run the Xenon flares, I would like to run the skinnier ones. Can anyone tell me approx how much they will stick out past the flares?

Going to be running the stock Moab wheels with the 35 x 12.5 and putting 1.5" spider trax spacers on.

Thanks.

More pics would be great if anyone has a similar setup to what I have described.

I tried the BFH, going as far as could be gone, and still rubbed my 35's under full flex. I tremmed them back quite a bit and filled the gaps with JB weld and painted them. So problems so far. Maybe when it's warm again I'll throw some small wire on the MIG, clean out the JB weld and weld the seams up.

I don't see the seams s being all that important as long as the gaps are sealed and the metal is primed and painted. The JK isn't a unibody.

I FORGOT MY FREAKIN' CAMERA AGAIN...

Heres what I did find out- 17* and Xenons plus tree doesnt do well

I saw the tree and thought its all good, they have been pushed around before, didnt even think about the outside temp and the ice that had built up on it.

I still think there is nothing wrong with Xenons and just the elements that they dont like...

This is kind of an old thread but looks to me like these flares (which I want anyway) plus a small body lift would clear 35s pretty well. Not rubbing enough to cause damage to the Jeep or tires anyway and even then only at full stuff.

Does that sound about right?

No I just know a guy who will do a good trade on some BFG 35s and I can afford them and the flares but not them and the lift I want so, I'm just changing up my order of purchasing things.

Tires before lift seems wrong but I think this way it will work out.

I have a humble little 2.5"TF BB and Xenon narrow flares with 35's and can clear 37's with no rubbing if that helps...so I say yes because 3" gives you another 1/2" more than I'm working with.

i'm running a 1" body lift and narrow xenons, it does rub a little only at full flex.
