35" Tire Recommendations for Daily Driver
4 Wheel Parts had a deal like a buy 3 get 1 free or something a while back....then I had to wait because they were back ordered..
What percentage of the time do you actually 'need' the traction of a MT?
Live in Florida and constantly drive through swamps, sure, go with a MT. Like crawling up craggy rock chutes, sure, MT may be the way to go. But for the majority of people, I'd guess that a decent AT would be just fine for 99.something percent of the driving they'll do. MT's can be more of a 'look or image' thing, rather than an actual 'need' thing.

Lots of people running them here. They have larger tread voids than a BFG AT, so they will handle mud better. They do well on the street as well. They have sipes, and are reasonably quiet. On par with a BFG AT I would say. I was almost going to go with them on this Jeep, but decided to go with Cooper S/T's instead, as they are kind of a cross between a mud tire and an all terrain.
Ok, narrowed it down to two finalists.
BFG A/T's
or
Pro Comp XtremeA/T's
Both are good to about 40K miles. Both have good reps. Both seem to be a good blend of street civility and off road ruthlessness.
Now comes to the part I always get screwed up on. Tire SIZE. I'm running the stock 17" MOAB Rubicon wheels and sure do like them. I could sell them and get new wheels. Or I could get spacers.
What size wheels would I need to match my TF 2.5" lift and wheels?
35x12.50R17? That seems WAY to wide or am I off?

I spent a few trips in the Florida mud and the seemed to do pretty well. They cleared themselves of mud better than I expected and they look aggressive, almost like an MT.
This is my daily driver and I don't regret them at all.
That said, I will be putting MT's on the Rubi as soon as it gets here. (35's and more trail time)
