Lots of variables involved, no one can say whether you will or won't have issues. The higher you go, the more likely it will be. Disconnecting, more likely than not disconnecting. 2door, more likely than 4door. Max flex in the rocks, more likely than speed bumps at the mall. etc.

--> More likely. Not definite yes or no. People here have posted about losing driveshafts with 2.5" lifts.

And who the hell cares about college or future career plans as it regards this TECH thread. Move that discussion down to another sub-forum and help the guy with his questions...

I obviously want to ditch the 255/70/18 for something bigger, wider. I was thinking 295/70/18. I can get 5 nitto terras for 1200ish shipped from discount tire. Any other tire options you guys recommend?

I'd like to get a 3" or a 3.5" lift also. Am I putting to much stress on the drive shaft with a 3.5"? Do I need to take the level pucks out or can I keep them for added lift? (Might be a really dumb question, but I'm serious lol)

I was also thinking about cutting my fenders...kinda nervous though, what do you guys think? Since I'm a weekend warrior at best, in Florida, not really concerned with new bumpers or a winch at this point. I like to cruise the sugar sand, mud pits.

Appreciate any input fellas.

I do not know how old you are but you do not sound very mature. What you should do and are going to do are two different things. Life does not go as we plan it. All it takes is one catastrophe and all of the best plans go out the window. We all have payed some "stupid tax" for bad decisions and would change some decisions we made. Be mature and have some patience. It is nice to have all of the fun toys but do not become a slave because of them. Remember that a debtor is a slave to the lender.

Thanks for the useless input. I'm 27 and not getting any younger.

Both of my children are older than you and I have been through a little more in life than you. Not trying to get in a pissing match with you because you are going to do what you want to no matter what. I thought the way you do when I was your age but at the ripe old age of 29 the company I worked for down sized and I lost my job with about 100 other guys. I had a wife and two kids to support and was in debt up to my neck because we could afford the payments. I will never go through that again. I love my jeep but it is only a machine and more are made every day and you still have time in life.

Holy shit, some of you guys are a real buzz kill around here. I appreciate the advice regarding my personal and financial situations that no one here has information about, but could we just focus on the $3,500?
