I wheeled 37s on a d30 for a short while. I got the d60 because the 30 could go at any second with 37s. Im only able wheel 5 or 6 times a year, and its usually 8 to 10 hours from home. I would hate to drive 10 hours and break as soon as i get there. I didnt want to wheel it til it broke, becuase that would mean being broke a long way from home. I love the 60 in the front, and i will have one to match in the back before the end of the year im sure.

I agree. I would like to see real world results based on fact and not speculation. Everyone "speculates" that 37's on a D30 is a no no yet I have not seen any real example in this thread of people destroying a D30 through use, wheeling or just driving on one. Very interesting thread.

I ran 37's on a d30 for a few months....then the front diff center let go whilst trying to pop the front over a 3 ft high rock step, and the additional load on the D44 rear end created by the JK rolling back caused one of the rear axle shafts to tear off too....made for an expensive day out...

Myth=1 / Myth Busted=9
Next I think we need to talk a out Mira's post...IMO I have doubts that a D44 would have faired any better .... what is your guys opinions? #2? Or not

An OEM 44 is not much better than a 30 if thats what you're saying or asking. I've wheeled my PR44 over lots of steps including Pritchett Canyon at EJS this year and wasn't the least bit worried about breaking things. Buy 37s.
