37s and no lift.
You're an absolute ****ing moron. Take your shitty ass mall crawler pics and get the **** out. If you don't understand how something 10" is MORE than 8" you have a ****ing problem. Go back and read dirt and thoughts on lifts because it's obvious you're referencing it in your post, and you CLEARLY misunderstood it. Jesus Christ...
Btw, I'm running stock bumpstomps with major trimming and 37s on 2.5" lift
And I'm not saying your jeep isn't nice, I like it and dig it. I'm simply stating that 8" travel shocks won't have more travel than 8.1" travel shocks if the jeep is trimmed/has longer brake lines/ and everything else needed.

And LOL at mall crawler. Hahahaha. I can almost guarantee you I beat in my jeep harder than you. I would put a large amount of money on it. You're clearly not very intelligent, as evidenced by your lack of self control and your very apparent immaturity. You are literally too dumb to debate. The response to your comment can be found multiple times within this thread, but I guess you don't want to read, or want to discard the information in order to stay with your fantasy, and also because based upon your other characteristics, you're probably much to wrapped up in your pathetic price to admit that you didn't look at the facts or realize them. I deal with people like you every day. So I will simply allow you to continue your ignorant cursing and attempts any condescending me. You offer no argument only idiocy. Feel free to continue. I literally cannot believe you are so ignorant. The direct explanation of how what I'm speaking of is possible is literally right above your childish comment that looks like an angry 12yo Xbox live message. Absolutely pathetic.

I rephrased myself a couple comments above your angry cursing one. Check them out.
Essentially, I can reach the same height in an rti ramp as SOME 3.5 setups or 2.5 setups, etc, due to the fact that when my front travel runs out, I still have rear travel left and the jeep tilts over more and continues upward (as opposed to the axle tilting.) These other setups usually aren't trimmed like you or I, therefor they run out of rear travel around the time I run out of front travel, thus equaling out the difference. This is how I can reach the same height as them on a ramp or obstacle. I did not mean that I have more shock travel. OVERALL, I do however have more travel than some jeeps, and others I equal.
Does that make sense?
Now if we wanna talk belly clearance then yeah I have no argument. There isn't one. That's the only area I lack in really in comparison to around 50-75% of setups. Most people aren't so conscious of the things you and I and some others are. They just buy lifts and put them on. This is why so many people have half ass cheap shitty lifts that actually subtract articulation from stock.
I eventually will have long arms and junkyard 1-tons, and either ORIs or coilovers. But until then I'm just entertaining myself by running this way and laughing at the stuff it can do.
Maybe now more people will start off with their true desired tire size and work from there? Idk. I only posted so others can see who might be curious. Didn't post to try and argue, didn't post to try and say things that aren't true such as my stock shocks having more length than aftermarket ones. It's all good. I think there is more misunderstanding than disagreement. It's hard to convey the message via text. In real life if we were talking we would be in the same page. Because I now understand why you are arguing with me. You thought I was saying something else. And I'm sure my wording aided you in that misunderstanding.
Anyways. People need to chill and not be so heated.

I gotcha. I purposely wrote that response the way I did in order to convey a message that otherwise would've been lost. It was that, what I had thought you were saying, was ridiculous. Understandable now. I still don't quite understand everything you were saying because it either didn't quite make sense or I'm having trouble visualizing what you're explaining. In regards to me being a "middle aged man" I'm actually a 23 year old active duty vet who's now in the national guard with a banging ass wife. Just so we're clear. Also, I would very much say you don't wheel anything close to what I do, but if so, more power to you. If you read any of my other posts I think you'll find out I'm one of the few guys on here that doesn't mall crawl nor have super expensive unneeded equipment. It's whatever though. Good luck to ya and I look forward to seeing the transformation to ORIs and such. When my dad's garage is finished being built I plan on puttin some under my rig as well.

If your running 37's with no lift its going to wheel like crap. I can't Imagine the noises it makes when you flex out or come into and out of a ditch. I have 3.5"s worth of lift and just moved to 37's it barely makes it and I still have rubbing in extreme conditions. If you like it more power to you. For most of us we actually want wheel travel.

In all seriousness though. You can disregard that other post. The one with the middle age man comment. Without reading your next one it came off as if you didn't read anything or were ignoring things I said. So that's why I said you weren't intelligent. If that's what you were doing then that would be the case but it was only a misunderstanding. So. I was too lazy to stalk your posts or your profile and made the safe assumption based on what I've seen before and see other places about your age. Some of those middle aged dudes are a trip on these forums. Thinking they're better than people and stuff and half the time only halfway know what they're talking about. The types that do things just because others on forums do. So it's their standard or whatever
You say you're a vet. Thanks for your service. I just broke my old phone and got a new phone so lost most of my pictures and video of me wheeling. My buddy has good shit in his GoPro but he works nights and he hasn't uploaded any of it yet. I'm sure we do some pretty comparable wheeling based on your photos. Nice jeep. I like em at about 2.5 with 37s I think it's perfect if done right.
Anyway. Bygones are bygones. Peace brother.
Ok believe what you want I'm running Fox shocks with 10.5" worth of travel. Your shocks will blow out on the trails that I run, while I leave your ass in the dust. I'm done wasting my time on this dumb ass thread.
