Default either way

i cant see what the big deal is ? It looks good and functions well / with his cutting effort and shows it can be done. Who really cares if a lift with longer shocks gives you more travel marginally .
He stated it up front he isnt in boulders anyway. Over all it would be good enough for the average person who wanted to put 37s on with out a lift , if they are willing to hack off wheel wells . I personally wouldnt bother with a lift or 37s but it gets the job done for where he goes thanks for the share of what can be done if you want to . Again looks good.

i like my little 33s no lift lol it takes me where i want to go and thats what matters (its always good to take note of what people do with their jeep )
certainly looks as good if not better than some lifted ones ive seen out there. He offered the info in the modified section and was informing those who find it interesting , those who want to tear into it to differ are most likely going to argue regardless. I found his concept interesting.

A write up of what you altered might help some others that would like to go that route but may lead to more unwanted comments .

Yes please, do you have some pictures of what you've cut? I know I need to do some cutting myself so I can get down to 1" bumpstop and would love a write up or something.

Default yebh no problem

The boulders you drove up on to demonstrate is impressive . Not everyone finds something like this reasonable . Or affordable . Id rather have yours, But never the less its cool in its own way. I wouldnt want to climb up to the cab . But he didnt have to cut his wheel wells maybe ?

You could always just weld a ladder into your lift to make it easier.

That red JK just looks ridiculous (and not in the good way). I realize opinions are like arses in that everyone has one and they usually stink, but it just looks like a giant mall-crawler. (no offence intended if its your rig!)

The blue and white one one the other hand is quite trick looking IMHO

The red one is a company promo vehicle for a place that I guess does airbags. It works as I saw it from a long ways off and had to stop and take a picture of it when I was coming back the other way. Not my cup of tea, but it is an attention getter.

The blue and silver one is mine and those are 40's to put it into perspective, and thank you. It does alright with 40's and no lift. I just had to trim a few things here and there.

For anyone wanting a write up of what I did:

Unfortunately, my iPhone I have all the pictures on has a shattered screen and other damage, so when I try to plug it into my MacBook and sync the pictures over, it wants me to give permission to use that computer on my phone. I obviously can't do that with a broken screen. I compounded the situation by reformatting my hard drive not long ago and updating my OS and stuff, so the phone doesn't recognize the computer anymore.

Long story short, I can't yet figure out how to get the pictures from when I was in the process of doing the wheel wells.

All I can do is take some of it finished and try to thoroughly explain what exactly I did.

I have some shots of the tires mounted on the stock wheel wells I can also show for comparison.

But yeah unfortunately I have no pictures I can show of me in the process.

I will get on Microsoft paint and draw over the stock picture to show what I cut and what I notched and folded flat into the wheel wells

I'm working now but in going to try to do it tonight. I will jay post it in this same thread to keep it all in the same spot
