Has anyone successfully removed the passenger side upper control arm bolt by prying the exhaust out of the way as instructed in the AEV drop bracket instructions? I read the instructions before I started and even went and bought a pry bar. Now I see most people just cut the bolt and replace it. I don't have that luxury as my Jeep is now disassembled so I have no way to get to the hardware store. F@$k AEV. After this ordeal I'll never purchase another product from them.

Hmm, You could cut the bolt, install your arms minus the passenger side upper CA and therefore it becomes a teporary 3link frt. Drive to the store, install bolt

I found a smaller diameter bolt and nut so I could limp to the store. What a pain in the ass. AEV should update their instructions to cut the bolt and they should include a replacement. There was no way in hell that bolt was coming out by simply prying the exhaust out of the way.

I've read about needing to cut that bolt in many threads on here.

AEV should include a replacement with the brackets.

It possible, I've done it.

Didnt cut the bolt.

Used a rachet strap and a floor jack to pry the exhaust out of the way. It was a bitch should cut the bolt but it was at night and I wanted it done.

have helped two buds pry that over and get the bolt out on their rigs. ratchet strap and/ or prybar/ and took all of 5 minutes both times once we figured out how to do it. man up, and move it over.

I bought the same kit but from rough Country...included the bolt and I paid $10 less.

Not knocking AEV's stuff, but I feel awesome right now.
