Cooper STT is more a mud terrain... but now that you mentioned it, the Cooper S/T is an all terrain and pretty darn aggressive.

The duratracs are loved as well...

I was searching for the same thing an agressive AT.
but no too cheap and not too expensive and I choose the Cooper S/T and ordered them this weekend.
Based on a number of forum members that are running them they like them a lot and they all say
they do very well in the rain as opposed to BFG A/T s.

I have the Cooper S/Ts on my JK. Excellent in every respect so far, and much less than Duratracs. They wear very well. I know one guy who has over 60k and there's still plenty of tread remaining. You can find them for $185 each less shipping on the web.

Since Discount Tire Direct has Cooper on their line card, I'm sure they can get your friend a set for even less than those other online tire stores.

Here's what they look like on my JK...

My regards,

Widewing

Default Aggresive AT

What about the Mickey Thompson ATZ 4 Rib. I am looking at the exact same thing, an aggressive all terrain. I currently have BFG AT on a Toyota, and do not like them, they slip and slide to much when in wet muddy (not mud) country, even driving around farms. have also had Coppers ST's, found them better off road, but very noisy on road.

the MT MTZ look to have large blocks of tread, large gaps between the blocks, and also a sports car look????

I like the cooper discovery STT

if u want 33s, go for 305/70/r16 if u have a 16" rims , they really looks aggressive

i almost ordered the Duratracs from DTD but they werent available in the size i wanted (think it was a 315/75/15) and was BO in a 315/75/16... ended up going with KM2s again. the duratrac seems like its a great tire, from the feedback ive heard. i run the ProComp Xterrains on my rubicon, so i also like ProComp. I can say that my Xterrains did better in the recent blizzard here, when the snow was powder, and alittle less traction when it become hard packed and ice, than my wifes KM2s. Id imagine that the ProComp A/T would do alot better than my Xterrains. IMO, the duratrac looks more aggressive, and i THINK is cheaper than the ProComp.

Same here and also my father. Don't think either of us have had a set not get over 60k.

I had S/T on my old cherokee. I had them in 33s and they were a damn good tire. However, my Duratracs blow them out of the water.

Also, I had BFG AT before. And I like the duratrac better.

1. Duratrac
2. BFG AT
3. Cooper S/T
