I think I've found a place that might work to mount my highlift jack. Does anyone know of a problem with the mounting location blocking the turn signals a bit? My front side marker lights blink, so I'm not worried people won't see my signals...I'm more worried a cop will tell me it's a problem. Thoughts?

Or....there's a company that makes a setup where you wrap a tire with a webbing & this webbing has a loop that goes onto the jacking point.
Here's a gadget from Hi-Lift to directly lift your wheel.

I dunno,

I just finished getting my hardtop hoist/storage mounted on my garage ceiling and during my "breaks" I kept wandering/wondering over to the Jeep to look at possible jack mounts. Don't like the roll bar as I need the inside to carry stuff, don't like the hood as I know I'll drop that sucker, I can't place it vertically on the tailgate because it'll take out the garage door and new bumpers are probably a year down the road.

Right now I'm putting (hiding) most of my cash underneath the Jeep where "She Who Must Be Obeyed" can't see it.

I too had my heart set on using the front bumper to hold the Hi-Lift Jack. The mounts arrived yesterday so as my ADD would kick in, I'd go over and check out the front and rear. After pondering this, I just don't see the front bumper working out. The jack just sits too high and does pretty much block one of the turn signals. I almost started thinking about mounting signal lights on the bumpers, but hey Keep It Simple Stupid. So tomorrow it's going on rear bumper, but I am going to mount it a little more flush by removing the base plate when it travels.

I was thinking the same thing...

I decided to not mount my Jack on the front bumper. I'm looking at options to attach it to my MOPAR trunk.

The trunk seems solid enough, but I'm a little concerned about the trunk staying inplace--for example and accident--because it is held into the back with four nutserts and thumbknobs. I'd rather not kill my wife or daughter a mod gone wrong in the event of an accident. Although I've driven for 23 years now without a collsion.

I have an idea for a bracket to mount behind the rear seat that would clear the trunk/cargo area, but would still keep the jack behind the seat. I have no idea where I could get something like this made w/o it costing a fortune. Maybe I should call that American Inventors show

The Top doesn't have any thing to do with this mount method,...strickly on Roll Bar and clears the Top by a good bit......it will stay in place no matter what I do.
