Bad u joint?
I have a 3.5 inch lift and 35's. Haven't done more than 2k miles all highway with the man tires. I'm now getting a metallic sound and vibration coming off the front end somewhere. Could this be a bad u joint or worse?

May be more to it then the U joint if your are getting sqeeling and vibration while in 2wd. May be a little aggressive on your driveshaft angles in the front since u joint lasted 2000 miles.
lots of options. What are you running now? There are off set u joints that will allow a little more driveshaft angle without binding which may be the less $$ approach to start trouble shooting if you're not running them already.

That's your front driveshaft? You have an automatic? You have a 3.5" lift? That little avatar pic is you on the freeway? Or it's you offroad flexing a bit?
It is far from uncommon for lifted auto's to have front driveshaft contact on the corner of the tranny pan.
