BAS, ESP & ABS warning lights
Okay, so ordering from one of cheaper found parts led to MUCH slower shipping of the jeep part. It was not what I expected,,as it was over a week,,,,but it is what it is,,,,and a lesson learned
. ANYWAY,,,,the lights are OFF
,,,,, it took all of about 10 feet of driving, for them to go out (the Jeep MUST be driven for the codes to clear - just starting it up will not clear them). The part was NOT difficult to change, and, it can be done without removing the wheel to gain access to sensor. We did take the wheel off - but the Hubby said that: When not taking the wheel off: The trick is to pop up the red locking tab first,,,it pulls right out,,,and unplug the sensor. Then, use a 1/4 inch drive universal, attached to the correct size socket (we don't remember the size off hand), put it on a 6 inch long extension and ratchet. And the part can be switched out without a problem.
The lift on the Jeep helps, and this was for the REAR tire, I have heard that the front sensors, are a bit more difficult to get to. But honestly for 20 bucks, I simply cannot believe that it's fixed (considering how much other "repairs" have cost me).
My suggestion??? Would be the next time you are doing a parts order, to just add on a front and rear sensor to your order, this way, you at least have them on hand, (after a Google search,,,it seems that this happens quite often on the JK's - and mine only has 27K miles on it)! in case this happens to you. Then,,,if the dashboard lights up like a christmas tree, take it to Advanced Auto (or the like) if you don't have a code reader, and they can tell you which wheel it is, and you can have it fixed in no time!
THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HELPED ME GET THIS FIGURED OUT!!!

I wish I would have seen this thread before I had the stealership change my front sensor out. I have done a few mods on my jeep, but was not familiar with this part. They charged me an arm and a leg, since my jeep is not under warranty. Next time I will try to replace this myself.

I just had this issue resolved at the shop yesterday.
For the past couple weeks, the BAS, ESP, and ABS lights would light on certain occasions. It seemed to only happen when it was raining or the weather was damp. Assuming it was a wheel sensor, I did what I could, but not having a garage made working on the Jeep in January less than pleasant. Assumed it was a wheel sensor, and mentioned the possibility to my mechanic.
Got it back later that day (last night, actually) and was told there was a break in the wiring harness at the rear. My mechanic said it was strange, given the location of the break, as it would seem to be protected from inadvertent damage when wheeling. Unfortunately, I was in a rush so I couldn't get more info from him.
When I installed the lift this Summer, I did disconnect the brake line and wheel sensor wires brackets, so I assume I didn't cause this to happen.

I have this same problem with these lights but no DTC codes appear. I already changed out all the wheel speed sensors. Any other ideas out there? Please help.
