BDS lift kits
I've done the search but couldn't find what I need. Is anyone running a BDS lift? I looked on their site and the kit that looks the most like the Ultimate FT or TF lifts is their 4.5" kit with upgrades. I'm actually looking for the 3" lift but I can't see where BDS makes one that size.
Full Traction is still on the top of my list but I wanted to hear more about the BDS kits. The local shop likes both but leans towards BDS. They have installed and used both kits. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Oh...We have a 2008 Rubi with the 6 speed. I want to go with 3" lift and 35" tires. Moderate off road use.

I'm also running the 3" BDS with 35" tires on a 2008 JK Unlimited. It clears the 35's with no problems (other than minor rubbing on the plastic wind dam in front, which will be removed soon). I havne't had it for long, but I'm happy with it so far.
The BDS "no questions asked" warranty seems like a pretty good deal.

I got the BDS 4.5" lift with Gas Shock upgrade and 37" BFG's, I am very happy with it. The shop I deal with does alot of BDS lifts because they feel it's one of the best bang for the bucks lifts out there.
Thanks guys. So far I haven't heard anything "bad" about BDS. The BDS kits you got...how "complete" were they? Did you have to "upgrade" to both upper AND lower adjustable arms or do they offer a "complete" kit like FT? I tried to find what their 3" kits came with but they don't list them like they do their 4.5" kits.
I forgot to mention that our Rubi is the Unlimited 4 door. I plan to regear but was hoping that I could avoid new drive shafts too by staying with the 3" lift.
WOL, if you read this, I know you have the FT lift and are very familier with it and highly recommend it, but have you had a chance to compare the FT next to a BDS JK? Are there obvious differences between them that would sway a person one way or the other? I know every manufacturer has made changes from their first offerings so I guess I'm asking for current info and not old "history" of how kits used to be when first introduced. Thanks.

hey im getting ready to have the 4.5 bds basic lift installed on my 4 door wrangler. i was wondering if i should get the upgraded gas shocks and dual steering stablizer ? or any other extras i should get . thanks alote for the help !
I'm running the 3 inch kit with 35's and have no rubbing. I did add a 1 inch BL in order to get some more travel during flexing cause when I had only the suspension lift I found my bump stops weren't long enough and my tires were ay up into my fenders.
The 3 inch kit seemed to be very complete besides I added the steering stabilizer.

I started with the 4.5" and then thought I would upgrade the shocks, to there (BDS) gas Shocks. I also added the (BDS) steering stabilizer.
This is on a 08 Sahara Unlimited 4dr, also running 37" BFG's. No drive shaft work was needed at all. I think it handles and rides great for a lifted Jeep.
