My discount tire shop balances my 37"MTR on steel wheels.

No problem. These are heavier than the beadlocks I have coming

They said they will balance those also

I would get them balanced. Mine had the 50mph shimmy until getting them balanced.

Yes - road force applies a drum to the wheel to simulate the weight of your vehicle I guess? I was surprised it didn't spin very fast. 3 wheels had almost zero weight - 2 took quite a bit.

That's ridiculous to say they don't need balancing because they're heavy bead locks. Find a new shop!

Says they never balance a Beadlock wheel / tire over 35". And...they put on a lot of them. Hmmmmm?
Like said above. If they haven't touched them before, I would get a second opinion.

Some places will probable just balance as they didn't physically put them together, but in my area they still won't touch them regardless.

Does it need to face this way or towards the lip of the rim? Not sure as i've never dealt with these tpms and unsure if they will not have correct readings due to direction.

I'd NEVER let a tire shop assemble beadlocks. If you can't assemble yourself, you shouldn't be running them. I've seen first hand what happens when you let local tire shops assemble them. Even most off road shops. Some kid ends up doing the torque wrench (if you're lucky, usually they just jam them down with an air ratchet).

I kind of thought the same, but I didn't want to get everything together to be told they are directional haha. I may go ahead and turn them so they are more towards that lip and should have more protection when I air down.

Mine are mounted inside the wheel fastened to the inner beadlock band. The valve stem is facing in direction of wheel rotation or reverse rotation. Either way, they transmit once they sense rotation. This is how Hutchinson mounts the TPMS if you want to run them. Click image for larger version
