Forget the Ranchos. Go with Bilstein 5100s. Safe ride on the road, where face it, we spend most of our time. Super warranty and will hold up off-road.

From now until June 30, 2013 we offer a mail in rebate on our shocks.
Rancho Suspension: RANCHO® "WHEEL'N & DEAL'N" PROMOTION

We offer various shocks for the JK platform.

I prefer either the 7000 monotube or the RS9000XL adjustable shocks.
A lot of the JK owners like the adjustability of the 9000's.
Made in the USA.
Lifetime warranty
90 day ride free ride offer.
Good luck in your search.

I hated the ride from my Bilstein 5100s. I replaced them with Rancho 9000s and now I'm happy as a clam. :-)

Geoff, can You let us know why ? I'd appreciate a blunt reason why the Bilsteins didn't work, and why Ranchos better. I'm considering both. Cheers in advance.

I love the new 9000XL's I just installed, the difference in ride from stock is much better and the adjustability is nice.

I can set them really low if the wife is driving, or the baby will be in there, for a really smooth road ride.
Or I can set them more stiff if I'm driving or off road.

these are the ones I have at all 4 corners and are easily adjustable!

I am very happy with them

I've got about a month on my RS7000MT. I think they are a bit firm, but to me that was a bonus, I have had them on 37's and now 35's so the combo of the stiffer shock and running a little less pressure in the tires balances out nicely. Oh, and I bought them with the rebate so they were silly cheap, if only my rebate card shows up, lol. Then I need to buy some for my '13, but going to try the 9000s on it since I think I might need to tow a little with it.

Just installed new Rancho 9000s on a 2010 JK with 4" lift. Ride awesome now & were far cheaper than anything else especially with the rebate. You'd honestly be hard pressed to be able to tell the difference between these and $200 Fox shocks. Sometimes you pay for the name & shiny shocks and can't honestly tell the difference. I've rode on the various sets and not much difference besides price.
