Bikini Tops?
I've been running the top off my JK for the last few days, and, since I had the Safari Bikini top still sitting in the box, well, I thought, what the heck, and I went ahead and install it this evening, just to see how it looks/works.
I would say it was probably about 70 degrees this evening, and the bikini top was still a pain to get on. The Bestop version fits quite snug. The channels for the door frame required quite a bit of tugging.
However, I did run into a problem: the instructions show a center strap on the inside that connects to the footman's loop from a flap around the back side of the speaker bar. Well, I did not find the long center strap? Did other people get this strap? Am I just missing it? I rigged the bikini top on anyhow, but figure I'm calling Bestop tomorrow morning.
Nothing like Southern California weather to be running topless in February. Next weekend, we're putting the powerboat in the lake for the first time this year!

Premature!!?? I just hoisted my hard top off tonight, put on my bikini top and deck cover. It is going to be in the 50's tomorrow/Friday and 60's Saturday. So I am going to run it with a bikini.
I ran with a bikini last summer, only thing that really sucks is that it goes to the rollcage- not to the door. So, rain can collect on top, drive a block or two, then turn, and SPLASH right onto the interior part of the door then right onto the lap! I have seen bars that go under the top to add an arc tension so no puddles will form. That might be a good idea. Other than that, I love it.

I have the bikini, windjammer, and deck cover...... love the deck cover nice tight and water proof fit. The bikini top was a tad of a pain to stretch
, but good ol' So. Cal. weather today took care of that
! I have the dual top ( now tri top
) so I have the door frames to clamp onto. I don't plan on driving backwards for any extended time in the rain so I am satisfied...
Now and of course after I got the summer combo from Quadratec, the wraparound windjammer is released... damned if yah do, damned if yah don't.

I sold my soft top from my unlimited...once the spring rolls around, off comes the hardtop and the Safari top goes in the back... just in case it does rain! Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the stop Jeep soft tops actually made by Bestop. I strap mine to the roll bar and all is good... but like mentioned before, water does pool up there and tends to spill into the truck area... but hey...its a jeep right, just let it dry good!
i have the best top bikini for my 4 door. i did couple things to it. one i used the top prop from skid row skidplates.com and used plummers bad around the sound bar to eliminate win flapp noice.

On the TJ one could fold the top down and the tonneau fit over it. EXCELLENT. If the soft top and all the attendant hardware has to be removed to use the tonneau on the JK... NOT EXCELLENT.
