Broken Into...AGAIN!!!
Isn't it just marvelous how much the country has progressed!! In 1979 I went to town to celebrate, uhhhh...Heck I celebrated a lot of things back then. Anyway when the bar closed one of my buds drove me home. Next day around noon I got the wife to drive me to the bar. There was my ole CJ. Key in the ignition small tool box in the back, jacket and some candy bars on the passenger seat. NOTHING I mean NOTHING was missing!! True story.
Many moons ago I lived in the North, and we left the keys in EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME...Trucks, cars, boats, ATV, Ski Doo, tractor, dump trucks, front end loader name it.....Never an issue, not one problem....for years.
If it aint yours leave your friggin cabbage collectors off it!!!!!!!!!!!!
theives really do get under my skin. perhaps if they put half the effort it takes to steal towards a positive thing like, oh i dont know, A JOB!!! then they would excel themselves beyond their own means. ugghhhh. i remember the days when i live up north in pa and we would just leave the keys in the vehicle- never had an issue.
either way, i ended up getting the viper 350 2-way security system with proximity alarm. now all i need to do is stage my brighter then life tac-light, expandable batan, and my flexi-cuffs next to the front door. the next theif aint gonna be ready for the THUNDA!

Jeesh. It must still be 1979 where I live. I dont have to worry about steeling at all. I do lock my house doors at night, but only because my wife is super paranoid about everything and it makes her feel secure.
My parents have not EVER locked a single door of theirs... I dont even think they have keys for them. Never once had an issue.

Hence, why we are moving to Colorado.
Havent been broken into sense.. or at least that im aware of... of course this is only at my house at the "mall" or where ever yes i lock my doors.
You'd be surprised of how much locking your doors would help. It's called "car shopping" kids just go vehicle to vehicle checking doors. If it opens, they're in. If its locked, they usually just move on. They don't want to take the time to unzip widows or even crawl around through the top to get it. Their goal is to get in and out as fast as they can.
Of course as with anything, there are the times that tops get cut, but that's usually when something tempting is in plain view. If my doors are on, I lock them. Top up or down, they get locked
