It definitely has a nice curve to it compared to others. I think it has me sold. The only other one I've been considering is the weathertech which seems to have a similar curve.

Yea I noticed you have the matte and I saw they had it in smoked. I have the same color jeep and grill surprisingly and like the way it looks on yours.

Thanks to this thread, I pulled the trigger and got mine yesterday.
It didn't come with nutserts thou. Just self tapping screws. Part #11350.02 (smoke)

Glad this thread helped! This deflector brand works. They get a bad rap for some reason. Maybe people expect miracles. Just remember it's not 100% but it sure helps a lot. Maybe RR finally realized those nutserts SUCK. Did you get rugged ridge?

Thanks for all the info in this thread! I've always wanted a bug deflector but I didn't know if they worked and I hate the look. It looks like it has a mustache I may get one now though if they make a big difference.

I have the WeatherTech deflector, and I do believe that it has worked for me! My main reason was to block enough rocks to not be constantly cracking the windshield, which overall, I believe that it has cut down on the amount of knicks in my hood and cracks in my windshield, as I have watched some of the rocks deflect off! As a benefit, it keeps a lot of snow and ice from building up on the windshield when driving in the winter, keeping the wipers clearer, and as summer is rolling around, I think the amount of bugs hitting the windshiled has decreased too, though I haven't gotten enough info to say for sure on that yet! But overall, I do believe that mine works and I am happy with my purchase!

I was thinking of using license plate hold downs which take a larger screw. I'm trying to not drill since I live in nj and they love putting down salt on the roads for no reason.

i just used the same screws it came with. It's on there tight even with those little screws. I doubt salt would get in there as there is a rubber moulding in the front of the hood. You could always dab or spray a shot of your favorite colored paint where you drilled if your worried about rust. NJ I'd be more worried about someone stealing your jeep. I grew up in Newark NJ as a kid. Man do I miss the pizza !!!!
