Yeah... And that pile of shit probably drop ships from from China where it's manufactured . I would encourage any enthusiast to spend the extra couple dollars and get a real American made housing from Dynatrac like you did yourself

My understanding is that the castings and tube drop ship from China (or similar) to Teraflex and are then final assembled here. So they say it's assembled in the USA, but it's not made in tha USA.

Per their site: • 100% engineered, designed, and built in the USA.

They drew it up, did the math, and assembled the parts. Some back alley China foundry made the parts. You are correct, a Dynatrack is a real deal USA MADE, USE DESIGNED, and USA ASSEMBLED chunk of orgasmic axle love. But if the ChinaFlex can fit your budget and a PR44 can not... You make your choices. Obviously, I made my choice as the Dynatrack ProRock and Dynatrac ProGrip. But I was lucky enough to have the best ;-)

Yeah, well, as someone totally satisfied with his "pile of shit" Teraflex R44 I'll take your comments with a side of uninformed fried rice. Comparing it side with a PR44 Unlimited, the quality of the R44 was hands down the winner. Tera's axles are works of art. Plus, it was more compatible with the TF 4" long arm I run than the PR44. I've got nothing against Dynatrac, but Tera's axles are every bit their equal. Oh, and the best part? I got the R44 on a Northridge 4x4 20% off deal, so installed I was ahead about $500.

SoK66, We won't say anything bad about the Tera axle, but we are curious what you saw on our ProRock 44 axle that makes you think that our quality isn't the same or better? Also, where did you see our axle? We pride ourselves on excellence in design and manufacturing, and if something with the Dynatrac name on it doesn't that live up to that, we definitely want to know about it!

Thanks for chiming in. The PR44 is certainly a fine product. Comparing two PR44 Unlimiteds owned by club members to my TF R44 the PR44s lacked control arm mount skids, multi-holed track bar mount brackets (the PR44s required installation of Synergy brackets at extra cost) & diff drain plug. The tech who installed my R44 commented that the gear setup process on the TF housing was far easier than PR44s he'd installed. Finally, On my setup TF's spring buckets were more favorable due to the bump stop pad design. For those who've never seen one, TF's welding is a work of art, to the point when they saw it one of our our local fab shops photographed it to use as an example of fine welding.

I'm certainly not here to bash Dynatrac, I had your axles on my previous rig. However I was not going to let that "POS" comment go without responding. Helps to know what you're talking about before dissing someone's product.

Couldn't be happier that you're satisfied. You act as if I haven't seen a teraflex product in person let alone their axles. I'm glad consumers like yourself will keep companies like them in business. Call my comments or myself shit all you like. Seems to me like you were happy getting 20 points off an imported housing than anything.

A $500 savings was a nice bonus. The R44 isn't an "imported" housing, it's proudly made by TF's craftspersons in Murray, UT.

I'd say from your comments you just have an uninformed hard on for Teraflex, a fine and rapidly expanding American company. Given your disdain for imported four wheeling products, I'm sure you won't run items from companies like ARB/OME, Yukon (or ANY aftermarket gear set), G2, etc. In fact, why would you own a vehicle manufactured by an Italian company?

On another note, this rig was 4 sale on flea-bay (may still be). I'm going to name mine the same but 2.0 version....
