Maybe someday black powder coated aluminum. but never chrome.

Now, this is no way a dig on the MT's. When clean, they looked great. It was my unwillingness to clean them that led to their demise.
I have these rims and treated them with SharkSkin from Eastwood. They still look new and I've not even hosed them off...

If you like chrome go for it. That's what this is about - making our rigs they way we want to.

Did it dull the finish down at all.
I will probably top coat with Chemical Guys Wheel Guard, it works great on the wifes Grand.
My Rockathons will be here Wednesday, oh, yeah. 20x10 beadlocks baby! 40 dam bolts per wheel, should keep me buisy for a minute.

You know the funny thing is, 7-8 years ago I remember Chrome was king on Jeeps. Lot of double tube chrome bumpers on CJ's. Now we have the JK and if you wheels are shinny or bigger than 17", you can bet you will hear about it here.
The SharkSkin did NOT dull it. However, its kinda tricky to get a smooth coat. Especially on the second coat.

You have to either seal the wheels or polish them weekly or they won't look like that for long...

I've seen jeeps that look great with chrome wheels....Just a matter of preference and all have upsides and down sides.

Chrome=Looks good, lite/Pits, dulls without regular cleaning
Black=looks good, easy to take care of
Steel=Cheap but heavy
Wood= Termites

Me personaly, Im going with these

I went with polished aluminum w/ black highlights....

They looked like this for awhile but look like brushed aluminum now.....which I like. When they get dirty all I have to do is spray on some of that aluminum cleaner, hit them with a brush a little just like normal washing, and they are clean and shiny enough for me.

You do know it's plastic right? Wonder what shipping would be. I bedlined a plastic "chrome" Ford grill once, it turned out real nice. Prolly cheaper than swapping. Thanks
