Unless you understand tread design and have the right tools you run the risk of greatly increasing the noise level of the tire and reduce the tread longevity.

Why would you want to do this? Unless it is some very odd size, you can find tires with almost any practical or unpractical void ratio that you might want.

I know people who cut lugz out of there tires but never do these tires see hwy or public roads.

Boggers are excellent candidates for cutting and Baja Claws are also popular for cutting

extreme 4x4...its a cool show on tv. I know that the short course (CORR) racers do this to increase traction and help to control how the vehical exits the corners. Definatley wouldnt be a streetable tire.

I would ask are you having serious mud clogging issues or just something you saw and was curious about. NOT something to do for a daily drive in the least.

Save your self some time. Go buy the Nitto Mud Grapplers. I have a set of 35" on my TJ and now I have 37" on my JK Rubi and Love them.

I wished I had the video of us muding, the tread is shaped so it throws the mud out of the tread as well as snow, I feel like I am driving a snowmobile on 2-3' fresh snow of track.

In truck haven I was throwing mud 20' high and 20' in front of my jeep.

They climb on the rocks even better.
