I want 513's and have heard good things about the outcome compared to the 373's that I have now.

Does it really make that much of a difference in the power for around the town driving.... I will have to buy a flash paq as well if I do this to change the gear ratio in the computer.....

Wish I knew someone near by who has done this so I could drive it to feel the diff.

any opinions would be appreciated.

I know it might be hard to visualize how regearing could really make that much difference but it does. I really think a regear should be factored into the price of a lift and tires. By far and away the best thing I did to make my JK more powerful after getting 35's.

This being said most of the 35 inch tires run closer to 34 inches......... the chart posted on here is right on the mark use that to choose your gears.......and even though I wish I would have went with the 5.13's in Florida there's not to many hills so the 4.88's work okay and there's no problem with the tranny searching for gears.

Hope this helps

You answered the questions I needed answered! Most people dont think of Kansas having hills but suprisingly its more than anyone would expect! Think I have decided to go with the 5.13's!! Now the question is lockers or not!!
