Do spacers "settle"?
Just got my JK lifted 2.5" (and leveled) but when I picked it up the guy said he left it about 3/4 " lower still in the front because the rear will settle down and will be level - is this a valid statement or should I take it back and make sure they do what I paid for them to do?

Sounds a bit hinky to me... but it might depend on the kit. I've only held the TF spacers and they're a pretty heavy/dense compound. I can't picture them "settling" at all. The only suspension part that I would count on sagging after some time would be the springs themselves.
What kit did you get and how old is your Jeep? Springs or spacers?
It is a 2008 4 door with original springs - they only installed spacers - not sure what kind. Said I did not need new shocks either. He thought I did not have matching spare on back cause I have cover on it - made comment that if I got a matching 33" on back it would bring it down some, but I told him when I picked it up that I do have matching spare....any suggestions? I am thinking I should take it back and get him to LEVEL it out.
Well, I'm going back there today then. I didn't think they would settle either. Maybe if I was to add a full size 33" spare tire yeah, but it is already back there. Thanks for the info!
With that said, it would still be 2" higher than it was before, no doubt.
The only way it would level out is if you put a 3" spacer in front, and 2" in rear for example... Or 2.5" spacer in the front and 1" spacer in the rear. Or... you get the picture. Bigger spacer up front or it won't level...

My invoice says they installed 2.5 in front and 1.5 in rear, but it is not level. He actually told me that they left it a little lower in front (why?) because it would "settle" in rear. It was about a full inch lower in front to begin with and he said it is now 3/4 inch lower in front. Sounds like they did not install what it says on invoice to me.
Spacers shouldn't settle. If they settle at all, it will be unnoticeable, and would be the same front and rear, so the rake won't change. Maybe he was thinking about when it is fully loaded or towing. Then again, maybe he has no clue and is feeding you a line to keep you happy and hoping you forget about it.

If it was 1" lower than the rear to begin with, and they put a 1" larger spacer up front than the rear (2.5 - 1.5 = 1 lol), then it would be level and not .75" lower than the rear still... correct?
I'd be confused, but if they indeed installed a 2.5" up front and 1.5" in the rear thats the right way to do it. Then the only logical explanation is that the initial sag must have been more than 1"...
You should be able to look up at the top of the spring and see how big of spacers they put in... at least roughly.
