Default Do you still use a shade?

As the title says, "Do you still use a shade?" If you have purchased a shade for your JK, like a SpiderWebShade or similar, do you still use it or is it now stuffed in a closet somewhere?

Mine never comes completely off.....even when a top goes on. I'm topless 90% of the time, and the sun is just too harsh in TX. When I put a top (either hard or soft) on, I just undo the shade at the footman loops and toss it to the back. I know the top won't be on long so I just leave the back of the shade in place.

I've had my SWS for 2 years now.

I'm using that in conjunction with my soft-top and it works great. Like earlier, I just pull off the footman loops when my soft top is on and throw the balls into the glove box. I added a flag to supplement my SWS, too. Love how it completes the interior look.

I thoroughly recommend.

Mine has never come off since I purchased it. I use it under my hard top, soft top, and trek top.

My first one was a Dirty Dog 2-piece for my 4dr. I liked it, but I hated that I had to replace the velcro at my soundbar annually. This last year I moved to a Spiderweb Shade. I hate that it's 1.5" or more narrow on each side (the gaps between the rollbar and shade are much wider), but I generally like it better being a 1-piece. I did have to get used to it flapping a bit over the soundbar, but I like the simpler design.

I have never owned one. I usually just leave the vinyl top on with the doors off and windows unzipped. The drive home from work is kind of far and I don't like getting completely soaked. I guess I'm just used to the left side of my body being drenched and the right side bone dry. However, when looking at the price of that shade I may just order one tomorrow. I'll just purchase a rain suit and some goggles for the long rides home in the rain. What's a few more weird looks gonna hurt.

I put a couple of bolts with wingnuts through the top (it has holes that appear designed for this) and through the soundbar and it greatly reduced the flapping.
