Start the Jeep and turn the wheels all the way to the right and left then turn off the Jeep. Restart the Jeep and take it for a drive when it gets to second gear it should turn off.

HOLY CR** this worked !!!!!!

THANKS JK OWNERS

I have tried the turn left and right stuff no luck, tried discoing the battery still no good tried to reset the computer with hypertech programmer, and recentered the steering wheel. No good what does that leave me to try? sensors or clock spring. No problems with cruise control or air bags. Any one?

This same thing has happened on both of my JK's. (07 X and 08 Rubi)
Had to have the clockspring replaced. Take it to your dealer and have them look at the codes...

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Maybe it will help someone?
