Is EVO serious?!?!
Ok, this thread got out of hand. I don't post negative threads. It was intended to be more of a sounding board, but that failed and it went straight to crap.
There were two events: 1. A misunderstanding between a customer and vendor. 2. A vendor initiated resolution.
I've been around here a while and feel part of a community. Many of you have gone out of your way to help me and to help others, as well as provide endless insight. This was a one-off, odd situation, in which I was looking for feedback.
No person (that I know anyway) wants to bring harm to a business. No one is perfect. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have posted anything. And, I'd guess Drew would have just said "hey, how about Slabs instead? Give it some thought and we'll get you set up." I can't fault him for his response here. He was unknowingly put on the defense.
Mistakes were made and it was resolved. We all know Mel has done a lot for the off-road community and will continue to. He's earned our support. Running a business isn't easy. He'll always be learning, and us as customers will get better at remembering that.
