It's hard to recommend anything without knowing your budget. But just by looking at your current Jeep, I would definitely change those tiny tires for something more manly. And definitely wait and drive your Jeep first for some time. Don't jump into mods blindly. That way you'll get a better idea of what you need.

You could buy my trek top!! Seriously, add a winch sooner than later. It's nice peace of mind.

I know several guys that have 4" lift on their DD, and are always complaining about the mpgs. Yes, they have 35s and 37s with stock gears and no speedo recalibration. While i express my envy for their sweet rigs, secretly i LOL for their decisions to "go big" but only go half way.

If it will remain your daily driver, you probably dont want more than 2.5" lift. You can get a good kit with coils, shocks and bump stop extensions for around $500. Adjustable track bars and front disconnects are recommend even with 2.5" lift.
JKS quick discos front $150 i think.
JKS hd adjustable front trackbar, hmm $200? I dont remember.
There are other options out there.

And theres always the budget boost option; simple coil spacers/leveling kit. You can always add some spacers to a coil lift if you want more lift in the future.

Once you get into the 4" or more range, you're looking at control arms, drive shafts, etc...

And as stated before, i would do away with those little rims and tires.
A 285 or 33" tire looks good on a 17" rim, but keep in mind that tires for 17" rims will always be more expensive than tires for 15" or 16" rims. Even in the same overall diameter.. i know, it makes no sense.. more money for what is really less rubber. Its a popularity/demand/capitalism thing.

I dropped $180 each for some sweet atx predator black teflon 17" rims.. had i known then what i know now, i would of gotten 15" rims. FYI, not all 15" rims will fit a JK. There is info on this in other threads.

You're first mod is always free. After that, it's too late! You're addicted!

Default Congrats

I'm in the same boat just got my 2013 unlimited and have the itch to go out and mod. But I'm one to do a lot of research and just see where others are taking their's. One thing I have learned and is good advice I've seen others all ready post is "SAVE!" it's one of those itches once u start it's hard to stop. Good luck

since its my daily driver and i do alot of highway driving so i'll be doing a 2.5 lift, just having a hard time deciding if i want to go for the full AEV kit or the terraflex budget lift

Join a local club and go wheeling stock or talk to them about what your first mods should be

Location is key on what you need.

Second is you'll quickly find out what you need by how limited you are on the trails. The Jeep comes good stock. The only item you might want to move is the EVAP.

Also do you research.. I used to work in an off-road shop.. All too often a guy would buy a 6 inch lift and then come in and complain that he now had to spend x3 the kit price to get what he really needed. Most kits are only part 1.
