Oh and yes, you should re-gear. Get the most fun out of the Jeep. After all, that's why we all bought one!

@The Terminator you just posted in one of your earlier post criticizing me and saying that regearing gives you no more power. I just came across a post you made two months ago claiming that regearing gives you more "power". So which is smart guy.

Currently running 3.21 gears with a six speed 33in tires 4inch lift. Drove ok, going up mountain passes required 4th gear to get in the power band. Added CAI, catback exhaust, and SuperChips now with the 91 octane tune drives great. Enough power for 6 gear to hold 75 mph on the highway now at only 2k rpm. Which is great for me since I still can get 18-20 mpg depending on the head winds. However I have 37's setting in my shed and no way will they be going on untill I rear gear to 4.88s.

Oh, so you are that guy that wasn't happy even with his stock tires and gearing. Now I remember you. Well, now I'm even more assured that you bought the wrong vehicle. There are 2 type of JK owners, those that feel the stock JK performance is fine, and those that don't. You fall in the 2nd group. Anyways, what I said was that regearing doesn't make the engine more powerful in itself, but because it runs at higher rpm's, it can generate more power (that it already had) at any given vehicle speed. Understand? As far as stock gearing and higher rpm, I am now convinced that Jeep should have went to a lower stock gearing for all pre-2012 JKs, as higher rpm's actually help more.

3.73 is not only an odd number but it adds up to 13 making it painfully obvious that those are bad gears. 4.88 on the other hand makes a nice comfortable even 20. 5.13 makes 9 which is 3 to the third power making it an almost perfect number. Okay, I'm just making this up but the battle was getting boring.

I think your next purchase should be some basic reading classes.
