YingYang: Are you happy with the performance you gained? What made you choose the SC vs. a Hemi? Thanks!

Oh yea, im really happy with it. Your not gonna set a land speed record but thats not the point behind it. Its just a different Jeep now. I love driving it even more. I use to struggle on the interstate at 65mph in my brick. Now 65 sheesshhh, 75 is where this thing wants to be. Dont expect a Hemi but for me.....

SC or Hemi. I think 99% of the people would agree, if you got the $$$$ get the Hemi. I just didnt have the $$$$. SC was my best option and what a great option it is.

Looks like I need to learn how to use the list feature.

Great additions.

I always start my plugs by hand, or well with the socket and extention in my hand. I was able to find the plugs at my local O-o-o O'Reillys. I couldnt believe it. They were a little under $2 ea. A+++

Nice - great job on the spark plugs - with the GEN1 we provided iridium spark plugs because they were harder to get to. they were $12-$15 each - with the GEN2 we stepped down to a copper core V series NGK (great reliable plug) you can read them once a year and replace as per inspection.

LOL, that damn thing, I remember that. Lub it up, get a deep well socket and push it as far as it will go. It will almost make it to the 90 deg bend. Just get it far enough to be able to put on the clamp.

EDIT: Make sure its facing the right direction!!!

Well i finally got it done. Had to take the sc of to put the damn filter thing on, forgot to do it, guess i was excited.
One suggestion i would make is to install that one sensor that goes on the intake tube first before you install the tubes. Damn thing pushed in and i had to take some tubes off.
Anyways... Took it for a short trip. No codes but it felt like it was surging. Will this go away or do i need to adjust something? Oh, i know i read someone adjusted the throttle response with the predator, how do you do that?

I will let RIPP chime in on this one.

I had a little surge and RIPP had me crank down on the blowoff. It has maybe 5-6 threads showing, went to 3-4 threads and it helped. I havent messed with the Diablo on the throttle.

Adjust the BOV to 2-3 threads showing
Make sure you have no vacuum leaks
To adjust the throttle response go to
  • Performance tunes
  • Custom Tunes
  • Select RIPP TUNE
  • Select Modify Custom Tune
  • Agree to Disclaimer
  • Scroll down to Throttle Sensativity
  • Adjust from 10-20% positive
  • Follow on screen directions until key cycle
  • Enjoy

Do you need to run the sleeve all the time, is it that dusty near you? The dust sleeve is intended to be used off-road and you should retain it for that.

But if you want to run it, you could
  1. Elect to source another plastic fitting like the one on the front of the blower and use it on the back side of the air filter. You could also remove the one we provided.
  2. You could drill and tap the air filter induction tube and run it there.
