guys with RIPP SC, i need help
SC or Hemi. I think 99% of the people would agree, if you got the $$$$ get the Hemi. I just didnt have the $$$$. SC was my best option and what a great option it is.
Add:
- When tighteing the spark plugs watch the angel of the socket, some have cracked their plugs and their not easy to find local.
- Before re-installing the spark plug wires makes sure the wires didn't come appart internally when you pulled them off. This is a great place for a misfire to randomly appear.
- When re-installing the EGR tube, make sure the integrity of the EGR gasket on the cylinder head is sound. This is a great place for a vacuum leak to hide.
- Make sure you don't press any of the injector grommets out - doing this right the first time saves you the hassel of the second time. We spent a lot of time detailing any obsticles refrenced above.

Great additions.
I always start my plugs by hand, or well with the socket and extention in my hand. I was able to find the plugs at my local O-o-o O'Reillys. I couldnt believe it. They were a little under $2 ea. A+++
Looks like I need to learn how to use the list feature.

EDIT: Make sure its facing the right direction!!!
Well i finally got it done. Had to take the sc of to put the damn filter thing on, forgot to do it, guess i was excited.
One suggestion i would make is to install that one sensor that goes on the intake tube first before you install the tubes. Damn thing pushed in and i had to take some tubes off.
Anyways... Took it for a short trip. No codes but it felt like it was surging. Will this go away or do i need to adjust something? Oh, i know i read someone adjusted the throttle response with the predator, how do you do that?

I had a little surge and RIPP had me crank down on the blowoff. It has maybe 5-6 threads showing, went to 3-4 threads and it helped. I havent messed with the Diablo on the throttle.
bump.. new question
just got my filter sleeve in and noticed there isn't a whole in it for the vent hose. so RIPP, do i have to cut a whole in it? won't it tear?
let me know ripp...

Make sure you have no vacuum leaks
To adjust the throttle response go to
- Performance tunes
- Custom Tunes
- Select RIPP TUNE
- Select Modify Custom Tune
- Agree to Disclaimer
- Scroll down to Throttle Sensativity
- Adjust from 10-20% positive
- Follow on screen directions until key cycle
- Enjoy
But if you want to run it, you could
- Elect to source another plastic fitting like the one on the front of the blower and use it on the back side of the air filter. You could also remove the one we provided.
- You could drill and tap the air filter induction tube and run it there.
