Default Hi-Lift Mount with Trektop

Hi, I just got a 48" Hi-Lift Jack and was trying to find a way to mount it. I have an Unlimited with a Trektop so I don't know if some of the roll bar mounts will work will the trektop. I was looking at the River Raider high lift mount but I was wondering if anyone else had any other ideas. Thank you

I have the Rugged Ridge tailgate mount for my unlimited: http://www.amazon.com/Rugged-Ridge-1.../dp/B0033MEHEC

It works and looks great my only issues are rattle which I fixed with some rubber pads and that I need to be careful not to close the tailgate with the hard top glass up but that issue goes away with the Trektop (I have a Trektop for the summer) I got mine second hand so the rattle could be because I was missing something.

That seems like a good idea but I think I would rather mount inside the jeep if at all possible to protect it from weather and people that might see it and mess with it. Thanks for the input though!

Holy Cow! I have the exact same issue and was just about to post it when I saw this! I would rather keep it inside as well, but I don't think its going to be possible with this top. Anyone mod their trektop to make this work and still somehow keep it from leaking in the rain?

Actually, I did come up with a good idea though, check out this thread https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...unk-for-48!!!! They used rails mounted to the side of the cargo areas and I was thinking about doing that and running a narrow board (3") across and attaching these to the board http://www.quadratec.com/products/92200_04.htm And you could mount the Hi-lift on top of the board right behind the rear seat.

Well, yes and no... I have a general idea of what I am going to do but I don't have specific plans drawn up yet. I wanted to mount angle irons in the little ridge along the sides of the cargo area and mount them using the holes for mounting the hardtop, just like pictured in the thread I mentioned a few posts ago. Then I am going to attach another set of angle irons to those to create a ledge that I can mount horizontally from. Then I am going to run a board across the back cargo area to the angle irons and cover the wood with truck carpeting or black paint and mount the 4xRac mounting brackets by hi-lift to the board and mount the jack horizontally right behind the rear seat. Will post plans/pics if I can actually find time to get to this.
