Since Darnell has a central complaint issues thread now, let's hear from you guys about the performance!!!

What's your opinions on the power and economy (if that's how yours is set)?

What upgrades have you done, and how did you adjust the programmer to match?

That's the info us non-owners/ potential buyers are looking for here!

Let's hear about performance!

Glad yours worked, but just wonder how your post would of been with the opposite results.
I understand your point about the different "jeep" configurations as they come from DC, but what about all of us that have wired accessories on aftermarket. rear camera's, gps, ipod, lights, winches, some of us have even circumvented stock configurations by putting in toggle switches to deactivate the ESP, so have done turn signal modifications. These JK's are completely electronic, and many of the mods affect the computers trouble codes etc. Is it Hypertech's responsibility to prepare for all of this? It is my presumption that many that are having errors programming might have some conflicts with items that are aftermarket?

("II'm sure they will figure it out, but Why as a consumer is it my responsabilty to test their products for them? ")

I feel like as a consumer I am testing the product for Jeep. Do you know how many TSB's, recalls etc. that we have all faced with issues to Jeep's new product called the JK? This is what you get anytime you accept a new product. If you want trouble free Jeep with proven accessories available for sale, try buying a TJ. All of those parts have been around for 10 years and I am sure the bugs have been worked out.

Truth be told, everyone on this forum interested in "chipping" their JK has been hounding Hypertech, Superchips, UniChip to "hurry" up and release a product. If we want them to fully test these products, then be expected to wait a year or so. Sometimes you can't have it "now" and have it "perfect" If you don't want to be a test victim, then sit back and wait!

Heck... just pulling the affected fuses will take care of any aftermarket electronics that would affect the computer and power drain. I was out there just yanking out fuses left and right until I got the right combination.

I always got in trouble for taking my toys apart. I was never allowed to have pets.

Yes the Accupro and Speedometer Calibrator works as well as the Max Energy and Power Pro. There have been one or two people who have posted about having problems with them as of late, but from what I can tell reading the internet and talking to guys in the tech department it isn’t a wide spread problem. That being said if there is anyone else who is having problems we are interested in knowing about them. This is a new product and there is the chance that there are Jeeps out there that may have different calibrations from the ones that we BETA tested. There is a thread in this section where I've asked anyone who is experiencing problems to post.

This has been going on for more than a week. So.....if it does not work tomorrow I need to take it back for a refund before the month runs out. Good news is Super Chip is in Huntington Beach, just a few miles from where I live, so I can physical go there to pick one up.
Blazer are you getting an error code when you attempt an internet update?

Muddy00,

This isn't an issue of Hypertech prematurely releasing a product and leaving it up to the consumers to do the real world product testing. We pushed back the release date the JK tuning after a few issues arose in BETA testing because we didn't want to release the tuning until it was right. That being said sometimes there are issues that don't show themselves in our ALPHA or BETA testing. Once we are made aware of an issue we work to resolve it.

Damn... I feel bad for Darnell.

He's trying, but only a few are listening.

This guy is going way out of his way to be helpful. The least you guys can do is give him enough respect to personally contact him or post on his new thread.

Personally I'm impressed with his commitment.

People are naturally semi-retarded when it comes to computers, including myself. I know that when I install programs on my home computer that there are going to be expected hurdles to overcome. The same should be expected with the programmer. So just like your home computer, you MUST read all the literature and fallow directions to a tee. And for those that don't it looks like you have Darnell to throw you a line.
