dang...good eye...maybe it busted up and locked causing it to rip out of it's mounting position

07Rube can you pull the shock in and out and just fine (of course with a lot of resistance...normal)?

I'd be guessing you broke your frame mount too. There are two bolts that hold the shock pin in place. If one fell out because it wasn't torqued down properly, the other probably came out less gracefully.

Have you been under to look?

I dunno... I kind of like my Jeep to come with BRAKES.

Drink Chimay or Fat Tire and nothing should BREAK on your Jeep... but if it does, you won't care.

Yes, I looked several times. After I got the pin welded, I had no trouble putting the bolts back in.

I don't think that the people who are suggesting your shock is bad, understand that those are hydrualic shocks you have and do not rebound. Apart from you coming right out and saying they are SJ 7000 series shocks, they must have also missed the photo showing the shocks mount with the body down...

Your shock is fine.

Anybody listening? I guess I'm gonna have ti buy a new shock. Can I buy just 1? That's why I'd like a used one.
