Don't give up yet...Better weather is right around the corner. There is nothing like riding around in the mountains with the top off. X10 on lowering the air pressure. Try 32 in the front and 30 in the rear. Good luck.

They are a little bit bigger then what you got on your model stock and be more apt for cruising the pavement.

Jeeps are great MTN vechicals and are really the only convertible SUV plus they look great! With the stock tires and no lift or mods the gas mileage is deceant and actually better then a few cars I almost considered until I fell in love with my Jeep.

Don't let the people on here get to you, they just think if the Jeep is dirty then it becomes a neglected piece of machine.

Backwards - If its CLEAN its a neglected machine. Its like a farm dog...you gotta let it go run.

If its clean like a shitzu in Paris's Purse, well, its not found a good home.

(In all seriousness...it doesn't matter, people buy what they like, for the reasons important at the time...some people get a truck meant for high ground clearance, and slam it and make a low rider, some people buy a Lincoln Town Car, and drop a Ford f-350 drive train under it...there's no wrong answer, as long as it works for THEM)

There is a night and day differnece between the ride of my buddies 03 stock Rubi and my 08 Sahara. I have noticed it is a little stiffer now after removing the stock shocks and installing the TF 2.5 BB kit with shocks. But is still a great ride.
Kind of reminds me why people buy the custom choppers. They look awesome but ride like Sh!t and only good to go from one bar to the other. You bought tires to get you to the other side of the stream buddy, not around the world in 80 days. A/T's are designed for road use and give you a more comfortable ride. My stock 32's handled well on the trails so I am not in a hurry to grab some 33 M/T's.
Take it on some trails..find some fellow jeepers and go on a run... Your mindset will change and hopefully you will enjoy her more. Good Luck!

Don't pack it in just yet, hydroracer. Like the others said, you'll be loving the JK when the weather gets nice and you can get some sun and wind in your face while you're out for a drive.

There is a specific method to get the "right tire pressure".

Its called a chalk test.

YOu chalk the tires (Big sidewalk chaulk stick are good for this....)

And drive over a dark surface (Blck top is good, etc...if its white chaulk.

What you WANT to see is a nice even weraing off of the chalk.

If more wears off in the center of the tread, reduce the pressure, if more wears off on the outter edges, increase the pressure.

If more wears off on one side or another, you need an alignment.

Enjoy!

...Garsh a quote comes to mind "I want my click back." I saw the topic of this post and just had to read. I was thinking to myself, "who wants to improve the ride of the JK's?" But upon further reading I'm with the rest, lower your pressure. I run ...lets see 34" in my stock little baby 225's. Take that for what its worth. And, as for the ride in general...I used to own a 79 CJ7 with Skyjacker springs buddy, go drive one of those and then go home and hug your JK. Your going to make it cry talking about getting rid of it and stuff.

Then just go back to enjoying your bas add ride

JK's rule and Hummers ...well suck.

I don't think anybody was seriously ridiculing you. It all sounded pretty good-natured to me. We like to help, but you may get a little ribbing aling with it.

On another note, I just passed though Sevierville over the weekend. Saw a few JK's what color is yours?

Default yellow..

i have a yellow one..you are right..a little ribbing is good...just wanted to see options..i overreacted ..i love the jk..it seems that when i put the bigger tires on it something was not right...i didn't know if i needd to adjust something (obviously) or if that ws the way it was suppoed to ride..i do appreciate the help though..letting pressure out tomorrow...now just have to get that esp under control...i am fllowing the directions of the "fix" but they are not working...should i get it realigned..tires rebalanced ??? the place i wentto..well,let's just say it was a battle to get 1 wheel..4 months!!!! cruiser alloy 926mb...so, also just to explain..when i bought the jeep, they told me go ahead put bigger tires on it etc...it's a jeep! when i did the hwole esp thing was a nightmare...bout forced my wife off the road...as to say i was not a happy jeeper...i have had many battles with the JK..window trim falling out, severe leak in the roof, esp, late wheel, aftermaket parts (to be expected) so i haven't really gotten to enjoy it...but i am ready now!
