Default Jk inside temp prob.

Not sure if this belongs here...but has anyone added a headliner to the 3 pc hdtp on a 2- dr jk? For the last 3 weeks our daily temps have been well over 100`. My AC on Recirc is barely able to keep up. More importantly the top of my head is burning. And when I reach up and touch the underside of the top its well...too hot to touch! Any ideas?

Wait, are you saying you did a herculiner and it is burning your head or you have not done a herculiner, it is burning your head, and you are asking if said herculiner will fix this?

Roll the windows down, and blast all the hot air out before you turn on the reciurculate....

I don't think herculiner has anything to do with his question.

At this point I've done nothing. Am looking for some ideas to make it cooler inside.

I'm not sure whether I'll try the rigid or roll style but I will do one this weekend.
the last 5 days have been between 114 & 116` EVERY day

Jeep Engineers back in like 8/08 were asking the public if we wanted an insulated liner kit for the hardtop.. I said YES PLEASE.. dont think there was enough interest in it. I hope they read these forums and come out with a kit.

I would love to insulate the hardtop

There should be a poll or a form started stating how many people want an insulation kit and how much they are willing to pay and find a way to get it to them. If they see interest they might just do it. Just have to get enough people confirming they want it.

The Hero or whatever the companies name just looks cheap and is $250, so I'm sure Jeep can do something nicer.
