Default Leveling kit questions

So I have a 2013 jeep jku sport s. With 285/70/r17 duratracs and black rock wheels. It is a daily driver and rarely will be off road.
My head is throbbing with all the info I have absorbed lately. So I have a simple stupid question.

Trying to decide between the teraflex performance kit and the regular puck kit

I have seen a lot of people get either kit and buy some rubicon takeoffs. Is it worth getting them for a daily driver or just use the stock shocks. What would be the advantage of using the rubicon takeoffs. I realize they are stiffer does that just help if your flexing offroard or sagging.

I doubt I will go any bigger than the 33's due to a 70 mile commute.

So I'm looking to just level it out and make get rid of the rake.

It just seems that the performance kit with even used rubi shocks is just 200 less than a 2.5 OME lift. Or for 250 bucks I could get rubi takeoffs and puck lift

Thanks

I would suggest the 18/59 springs and the spacer kit with Rubicon shocks. That would keep costs to a minimum, granted you get the springs and shocks cheap enough.

You can get the springs and shocks for $100 if you look around. And get the spacers used, much cheaper that way.

I would recommend going to your dealer, buying 19/60 springs for $134 new all 4. Then picking up a set of Rubicon shocks off CL or here for $50-$75 shipped. Then if you want more room, buy a leveling kit or BB from any vendor or person here. All the plastic pucks are basically the same.

So if I bought new springs and found some rubi takeoffs how much lift would that give

If you are thinking of buying Rubicon Take-off tires, vs your current 285/70/17 Duratracs, you will gain maybe 1cm of height. The Rubicon take offs are 255/75/17. Which means they'll be slimmer, but ~1cm taller.

With your springs already at 18/58, I wouldn't buy new springs, just a BB of whatever height you want (up to 2.5"). You'd be super lucky to gain .5" with 19/59 springs.

What you could do it drive down to a dealer and park your Jeep next to a new Rubicon to look at the difference in height. Hard to say exactly without seeing your particular tires, and only you can choose if you think it is a worthy change.

Oh sorry not take off tires. Take off shocks. So it sounds like I should just get a puck leveling kit and be done with it

Lol, yes. That would be the easiest and most efficient way. If i'm not mistaken, there's someone selling some 0-2" Bilstein shocks on the forum. They'd give a better ride than the Rubicon shocks. Although the Rubicons are amazing compared to the black shocks we get stock.

In all the threads that I've looked at over the years, that is the first I've seen of one of those snapping like that. I've heard of valves going bad, but the company has sent a free replacement for everyone that I've heard of.
