True shocks do not provide lift. But anyone who says Rubicon shocks don't make a difference is a liar. Switching from my Black shocks to Rubicon Take offs, the ride was much smoother. Even my fiancé noticed the difference between shocks.
X2 on that! Had the same on my 2dr 14/55 to 18/59. I gained as well as better ride with Rubi shocks....and my wife noticed as well!
Nice rig Delux here is mine with addition to puck leveling kit next to stockers.

I like the look of the rake too. The question I have, is once you get the jeep level then load it up with camping stuff, are you not going to then have negative rake?

And I'll bet the ride difference you noticed was more about those springs then the shocks. Rubi shocks are meant for Offroad and are know to be a bit stiffer then the Sahara and sport shocks not smoother.

And here is a link in the Stock thread. See if you can find a unlimited in that extensive thread with 14/55.

My '08 dual-top Sahara Unlimited had 15/59 springs. I'm not the original owner, so I can't tell you with 100% confidence it came that way from the factory, but I'd bet money that it did. It only had one previous owner, who was a woman that did not make a single modification to the Jeep. I'd have a hard time believing that she had softer front springs put in for any reason.

I recently replaced those 15s with 18s while I was installing a TF leveling kit. The 18s were absolutely an inch or more taller (I compared them side by side), however that could be due to the 15s having 50,000+ miles on them. The 18s were relatively new.

So we offer a 2" system for the JK platform at a very strong price.
It includes new shocks, front springs and spacers for the rear.

For a 4 door the P/N is RS66109BR9 this is with our adjustable 9000 shocks BTW.

Here is a stock 2 door with this system on it.

With 33's

Good luck!

I debated for months which leveling kit I should get and worried about issues with drivability as this is my daily driver. I have 33's and don't plan on adding a winch and bumpers. I went with the spacer leveling kit from teraflex and couldn't be happier. It rides just like stock and as I don't plan on going bigger than 33's it doesn't look stupid tall. It actually looks higher than I thought it would and really looks different from the stock setup. So far no issues with drivability.
I will say that the directions that come with the kit are junk but I had a shop install.
