for both front and rear, wiring harness and switch and overweight shipping (overnighted) and installation was at 3500 - 3600. Not sure the exact amount.

My JK .. I have a unlimited X .. now a cross breed of X and Rubi' ...

It came stock with open differentials, 3.73s, and a D30 Front and D35 rear.

It seemed like a good deal, compared to the 5500 dollar engine we had to replace a week earlier ... haha ... the axles had to get fixed the day we got it back from the dealership! It didn't get driven from the time I 'blew' my engine ... to pick up .. and driven home, thats when we found out that my axles needed upgraded too... damn!

Default can the dealer change it?

Can the dealer make it so the LOCK engaged light will be illuminated in an X with Rubicon axles?

My husband was wondering this ... its worth a shot ain't it?

I would imagine they could if you bought the $600 wiring harness that was mentioned earlier. All the lights are already there on the instrument panel. Just need the correct harness to hook it up. I put factory fog lights on my last Jeep. It didn't come with them when I bought it. Since they were from the factory, I bought the entire kit, which included the new blinker switch with the on/off for the fogs, and the wiring that turned on the "fog light indicator" light on in the instrument panel. I would think that the same would apply if you bought the factory lockers AND the full wiring harness...the entire kit.

You can easily tell if the lockers are locked. Get in some sand or dirt in 4x4 lo and stand on the gas while somebody is outside the Jeep. If they tell you all four spin, they are locked, if not, they ain't.
hell, just lock the front and try to turn...

That's actually quite easy. Just yank up the parking brake and cut the wheel. It'll turn.

This thread started a long time ago.

I bought marionnc's jeep from him in the spring.

He put the rubicon 44's in the front and rear and had the lockers wired to simple toggle switches rather than spend alot of extra for the jeep wiring harness.
By doing this the rear locker can be engaged in 2wd, 4hi and 4lo and the front will engage in 4hi or lo.

And yes the lockers both engage and like you all said you know when they are locked esp. the front.

They do now, though the Rubicon rear D44 is 32 spline, where as the X version is 30 spline. I don't know what his JK is, but if a two-door from '07 he could have been one of the few unlucky people to get the D35 rear.

I should've said that I didn't think there were any manufactured for the JK. I realize you can modify some to work, but I still don't think that any are manufactured for the JK.
