Here you can see the problem. Even with the bracket trimmed, the rear upper arms are quite a bit shorter than the rear lower arms.

The Synergy arms are closer in length:

Here is a pic of the Synergy bracket as a comparison to the EVO:

The Rock Krawler 3rd link isn't as long, but the vertical separation on the axle mounts is greater.

I am in the exact same boat as the OP. I have been doing the same research on long arm upgrades and pretty much came to the same conclusion as this post has been talking about; EVO or Rock Krawler X Factor. I guess for me it will be a matter of which one I can get cheaper. It appears they all have their pro's and con's.

Actually, I'm torn between the EVO and Synergy kits; however, the more I learn, the more I favor the Synergy kit. I'll pay the extra money to do it right the first time.

Planman -- the EVO bracket pic is the high clearance one they said only works with the Lever (and those arms are no longer available). Here's the bracket that is included with the Double D longarm kit and is what I was told works with the bolt-on coilovers. It's still a big delta compared to the Synergy bracket.

And if you look at the Double D kit on EVO's site, there's a significant difference in lengths between the UCAs and LCAs.

How is the pinion change when drooped?

I swear this thread is fate. I've been torturing myself over the same issues for weeks. I narrowed it down to evo vs synergy.

My question is whether the duroflex bushing can be swapped into both ends of the synergy kit. I know I could easily replace the jj, but as TheDirtman found out, it seems I need bushings at both ends.

They have a poly bushing on one end so you can not swap a duroflex joint into that end.

If you are asking about my comment, I was referring to when a jeep gets high centered and the suspension droops out, driveshaft u-joints and yokes have a hard time surviving when the housing nose points down because the rear upper arms are much shorter than the lowers.

Rex didn't blow the rear u-joint here, but if the jeep was running one of the long arm systems with much shorter rear uppers, it would have blown the rear u-joint and maybe yoke.

No, I was asking how bad the pinion change was with the evo bracket.

I built mine with arms that are very close in lenght and are mounted close to the double cardon joint so my pinion angle is always pointing at the transfer case no matter where the droop is.

Both EVO and Synergy have only one joint that can be swapped, so no help there.

Interestingly, I've toyed with the idea of using MetalCloak arms for a fully bolt-on solution. They appear to have enough flex to accommodate coilovers and ride great, just not sure if they'd be sufficient for coilovers.

There is nothing special about supension travel with coil overs, the duro flex joints work just fine with them. Well, mostly.

You could always just build arms and use duroflex joints.
