Couldn't answer, but the EVO separation at the frame looks okay.

I've been told the standard Evo long arm rear mounts have better on road characteristics than the high clearance mounts. Depends on what you're after I guess. After looking at the body mount bushing that is in the way for the UCA mount,it seems theres ways to work around it,just depends on how much fab work a person wants to do.

If you are referring to the failure shown on the JKE 2013 Part 2 video, that rear axle truss was an inferior design.

Yes,that was it. It looked to be attached in only 2 spots and not very well. Then again, hard to tell from a quick video glimpse.

Side note- Never met Mel before but he seemed like a decent guy with all the effort he put out to get that Jeep fixed and off the trail. imo

Mel is a decent guy, and that was his event.

When you get these guys out on the trail, most everyone goes out of their way to help each other--including guys with competing manufacturing companies.

I've personally seen it with Mel, Bob (TnT), Jeremy (Rock Krawler), Dave (Synergy), Dennis (not an owner, but a rep for Teraflex), Tom Woods, Jim (JE Reel), etc., etc.

The Rock Krawler trusses are boxed in, with much more welding surface.

Here is my original Trailmaster truss that is based on the Rock Krawler design:

Considering that I have to drive 2-3 hours to get to the good wheeling, I'm looking for superb road handling. Good to know.

What truss/3link mount was it that failed in the video?

Interestingly, I've toyed with the idea of using MetalCloak arms for a fully bolt-on solution. They appear to have enough flex to accommodate coilovers and ride great, just not sure if they'd be sufficient for coilovers.
If I were going with a mid arm lift, I would do Metalcloak. Even if I had a 4 door I would probably strongly consider that. But I have a 2 door and from what I've read, the on road comfort will be greatly improved by a long arm kit. Since mine is a DD I am looking for the best on road ride that will perform well off road as well.

It was basiclly just a 3/8" bar bent around the differential and just welded at the tubes. I think it was bought from a small fab company. His build thread is on jkfreaks his tag is CJ that went JK. I use to wheel with him from time to time when I lived in Illinois.

I use the genright bridge that I cut down a bit and modified it to bolt the the dynatrac differential as well as being welded to the tubes. It allows you to use a 3 link or 4 link setup but does mount the joints vertically instead of horizontal.
