Hi all! I'm new to the forum but not to Jeeps. I just got my 2011 JK sport. Love it! I was driving a 2004 TJ X b/4 & man there's a whole lot of differences. One thing that bothered me on my Jk was that ugly pinch seam right below the doors. Most nerf bars cover this up but if your like me your not using them. I found a cheap way to cover this if your interested. I bought a roll of 3" grip tape for cement steps at my local hardware store. About $10. Brought it home, cleaned the pinch seam area & applied the tape. You can cover the whole seam from front to rear. IMO it looks great & even has a rough surface that looks pretty cool. So far it has stayed in place even through the automatic carwash. Here's some pics of my MT JK & the pinch seam coverup.
Sorry only my second post, I forgot b/4 pics.

Is cleaning the tape difficult? I'd think the sandpaper like texture would be tough to keep it looking black... Just curious.

It does take some hide off my sponge. So I use my hand & soap, works really well. I've only had my jeep & the tape for a little over a month but it Still looks great!

Maybe I'll give it a try. It's funny because just last week I was thinking I'd use spray on bedliner to do the same thing. The tape sure would be easier!

I posted this in the write up thread as well.

I build a false floor yesterday for my WS.

Most of the parts I had, but spent around $40.00 or so.

If you have pillar lights...swap your mirrors left to right, turn them sideways and bolt them into the pillar light mounts, mine work great for doors-off driving
