I'll post picks of my visor sticker removal this weekend. Also, I have tinted across the top of the windshield and you still preserve the Jeep Grill logo on the windshield above the mirror... will post a pick of that as well.

Do a search for Red's Fender Trim. It shows how to cut the fenders, trim the liner and supports, and keeps it all looking extrememly clean and sturdy still.

I was in the same boat (wanted to still run the front inner liners), so I trimmed them up with a dremel where needed (I kept enough up front to use the original body clip placement) and near the rear of the front fenders leave yourself enough of the plastic to fold back to the body then attach them with either body clips, nutserts, and/or sheet metal screws (with any drilling, cutting, etc.. into the body, make sure you touch up the paint to avoid rust). To bend the plastic liners I heated along where I wanted the bend and once you get them warm enough they will bend/fold relatively easily and will hold their shape (notice I said warm not hot, you don't want to melt/burn the plastic). For the heating I simply used a charcoal grill lighter I had and it worked very nicely. Here are some pics (I don't have any close ups but can work on getting some maybe, right now it's 19° and snowing pretty well so might be tomorrow or later).

It's a little nerve racking at first, but if you have a steady hand once you do it you'll wonder why it took you so long to complete this mod.

Yeah Red's Fender Trim was a pretty good write up for sure. I too left my fenders on my JK for the mod. The first (passenger front) I used a dremel to make the cut, it took about 5-6 full length cuts and about 1.5 hrs as I was being extremely careful. The next three I did with a sawzall and took me all of about 20 minutes for the initial cuts combined. I then cleaned them up with a dremel and razor knife where needed. I found that the sawzall allowed me to not only cut the fender clean but it also created a nice clean angular cut on the under structure of the flare, you can see the difference between the two for sure! I recommend using a sawzall.

Two guys in my Jeep club have Sahara's and both have chopped painted fender flares. They look alright. The problem is that the base plastic is black and the edges look noticeably different. If they'd have repainted them, then they'd probably look better.

I wouldn't try it on my painted flares unless I was gonna bedline them or repaint them. That's me though.
