I just ordered the overland tube fenders for my 2012 True blue JKU. Is that what you're running. Was thinking about leaving them unpainted. They come in next week can't wait!

I finally got to test out the Game changer 3.5" lift this weekend. I'm very happy with it!

 

How are the shocks? How do they ride?

 

Finally getting around to posting some pics after installing the 3.5" Duroflex lift. I am extremely pleased with the ride quality and performance of this kit so far. Install took me about 12 hours by myself. Not too difficult, I could have easily cut a couple hours off of that if I had prepared a little better and paid more attention. Doing things twice eats up a lot of time .

The ride is MUCH smoother and more comfortable than when I had my 2.5" Teraflex coil lift installed. Night and day difference. I was very surprised at how well the Jeep drives, it holds a straight line and there is no wandering or flightiness whatsoever. Rock solid on the highway and I haven't done an alignment.


Can't wait to get out on the trail this summer. Next up, regear and 37's!

I still need to remove one of the 1" bumpstop pucks from the front. I went with 3" just to be safe, but discovered I didn't need that much, there is still a little travel left in my shocks.

 

How do you like those fenders? What did the 3.5 inch really yield you in height?

 

I like the fenders a lot. They are very strong, I have had someone jump with all their weight on my back fenders when I got high centered. Held his weight (200 lbs) with no issues. I've also bumped into trees a few times, hard enough to remove powdercoat. Again, no issues with bending or damage. My only complaint is how narrow they are at the bottom. Living in Washington, it rains a lot, and the mud and water just covers the side of my Jeep.


As far as height gain, I am sitting 3/4" higher in the front, and 7/8" in the rear. My measurements before were with a 2.5" Teraflex coil lift with 1" spacers up front, and 1/2" in the rear.

So I guess that's equivalent to what, about 4 1/4" up front and 3 7/8" in the back had it been a stock vehicle?

 

Thanks for the reply. I'm wanting tleither do the 2.5 or 3.5 durofkex. I think ill be fine with the 2.5. MC says it will be about 3 inches when its all said and done. I'm running 4 inch Evo springs and 37s. I want to lower my center of gravity. 4 inch is alittle to much.

 

Ok guys, I'll join the fun now... about 4 months ago I ordered 2.5" metalcloak coils to pair up with my Rancho 9000XL adjustables.

I was already running a 2.5" spacer lift with 35" tires.
we measured front and back prior to install of the springs and after installation.

did the numbers and I literally gained 2 and 3/4 inches OVER my 2.5" spacer lift.

I'm actually wondering if a mistake was made when they sent me the springs because I should not have netted a 4 3/4" lift over stock.... I was expecting about 3" as they account for armor when marketing the springs.

anyone else get crazy lift yeilds out of their springs from MC? BTW, Im not mad at all.... im loving it.

The ride is firm but since I have adjustable shocks... I just dialed them in and it rides like a dream... especially with the AEV control arm brackets... all geometry is within stock specs and yeilding 4 3/4 " of lift.
The TJ beside my JKU has a 3.5" lift which I don't remember the brand.
