Ordered my kit about a week ago, being from Alberta Canada, I expect delivery will take about a month, fingers crossed. Looks awesome and can't wait to replace the rough country kit previously installed before I purchased my JKU. Any advice for me on the install?
I dont always drive where others cant. but when I do, its in my Jeep. Stay muddy my friends
Not much freaking time for pics lately, but here's a poser shot from last week.
Not sure if this is your first lift install or not, but it was mine.
*Triple make sure you have the tools you need. It can't be stressed enough that it's always better with the right tool.
*If you don't have any or have smaller ones, invest in a couple of beefy jack stands. I bought a pair of 12 tons and didn't use my 6 tons. The extra height alone was worth it to droop that axle even more.
*Not sure which lift kit you're getting, but I purchased the 3.5. Even with a shit ton of droop, I still needed to use the spring compressors I borrowed. That's the most dangerous part of the install. Take your time.
*Speaking of taking your time, TAKE YOUR TIME. Even when you've read the instructions a few times, read them a few more. Watch videos, ask questions, etc. Nothing more irritating than being held up because of something you neglected to look closer at.
*A second set of hands is not necessary at all, but if someone's willing to help, use them. It'll give you some breaks while still making progress.
*Last but not least. BE SAFE. Don't take shortcuts if it means you can be seriously injured if something goes wrong. You'll just look like an idiot - or a dead idiot.

It's a little flighty on the freeway, but controlled enough even going 90. The front LCA's and alignment should tighten that up a bit. Overall though, still a tad stiffer than stock, but not much. Very happy.
Put a angle on either the pinion flange or one of the two flat circles on each side of the diff.
Stock = around 2*
This will give you a pretty close caster estimate. (Total 6*)
2*/4* caster
3*/3* caster
1*/5* caster
0*/6* caster

I was thinking about going with the 2.5" dual rate front springs and doing the rest 'budget' minded until I found this thread. I was going to run rear coil spacers and Zone Offroad shocks ... now I'm thinking I'll save for a while longer (much longer) and get a full MC kit and more affordable shocks (probably Zone or BDS). Thanks for the thread with a lot of useful info and a lot of bickering back and forth ... it actually really helps as annoying as it was to shift through hahaha I'll try to be around JK-F more these days to stay u[ to date with this thread as I get closer to buying the kit (probably late this year or early next).

Noted. What about Pro Comp? If I can manage to save for the full OME kit I'd go that route but shocks can be found at much better prices elsewhere. I won't buy AEV for personal reasons that might seem naive to most but that's for another thread. If I got any of the complete MC kits it's be with the OME shocks.
