I went to the dealer before I put my lift kit on. The only thing that they said it would effect is the warranty on the driveshafts or something that is directly caused by the lift. That is alot of money and a rip off IMO.

Hmmmmm....that would make me pause right there.

some of those things are arguably not needed for 2" of lift, nice maybe, but not needed.

the trackbar, trackbarbracket, and SS arent really needed that low.

If the price is fine with you, that's fine by me, but you can get an OME lift for what? 650-700??

add trackbar $150,

SS $40,

I wouldnt put a trackbar bracket on.

even if i buy both trackbars i am still under $1000 for the same results, that really is all anyone is trying to tell you.

You are paying a lot for the Mopar name, which will get covered with dirt anyhow.

The labor part is correct. still watining to hear from the Dealer. Chrysler tells me if the accessory is on the list of Factory available options , they are covered by warranty. if not they are not. The lift would NOT be. Just a new development. hmmm...Unless I get the dealer to give that to me in writing. I am, looking for objective opinions , so thatnks for all the replys and comments. Keep 'em comming. I am trying to decide ton the best lift situation. I only want a small lift but want to remain in line and keep the geometry correct. hopefully by adjustment and kit components. I want a good lift kit done the right way. Not alot of height. Only want to go to 33's to keep strain off the drive components.

That is the kind of info I am looking for . What do you mean by SS $40 ??? and I agree that all that may not be "needed" but woudl it be the better way to go even if it wasn;t from Mopar. THe problem I am seeing her is the cost. The RE 3.5" kit is $1649.99 in 4wd cat. How is $1500 too much can buy for $1300? Not seeing how it is more expensive. Maybe than a Budget lift but not with these components? AM I wrong?

a 2" budget boost with shocks is what a TON of people are running to clear 33's. MYSELF included.

I have a 2" RE BB and it's fine with my 33's, it handles EVERYTHING i do with ease. No driveline issues and cheap enough (i added adjustable trackbars and front JKS quick discos to prep myself for going bigger, but it DIDNT need those items) Even with those i am WAY below 1500.

a BUNCH of others ar erunning the 2.5" TeraFlex lift without issues.

Spring vs. Puck is kinda a personnal preference, nobody wants to see you get ripped off.

SS - Steering stabilizer.

And NO, you dont need it, i ran my stock one with my 33's for over a year and it was fine until it developed a dent & a leak from a rabid rock. I happen to have a TeraFlex on mine now, but had i not squarched the original, it would still be there.

I would believe one dealer might not honor a warranty on a lift another dealer installed, but a lift certainly doesn't automatically void any other warranties. I've had warranty work done after I put on the 4" lift, 35" tires, new front drive shaft, and 5.13 gears - including having a new transmission put in. I clearly smoked it towing, but as I pointed out to the dealer, "where does it say you can tow 3500 lbs except up a hill?" Also, the transmission tech told the service writer that 35" with 4.10 gears might be a void, but the fact that I'm running 5.13 gears should have put much less strain on the engine and transmission. The dealer agreed and hence a new transmission. Maybe it helped that the tech was an avid off-roader himself???

I know a lot of dealers cry "no warranty" if you mod something, but the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects your rights. They need to prove the mods you did caused the damage. In my example above there were a lot of driveline mods, but none would have contributed to the failure. You can search this site or the web in general to see a ton of information on how to make sure you don't get screwed.
